VICE-CAPTAINS

Monday:

Informal easy runs arranged via Facebook chats

18:00 DRILLS and MINI-SESSION @ Iffley Road Track

Tuesday:

07:15 & 17:15 CLUB RUN @ Radcliffe Camera

This is an easy run around 5min/km pace which is usually 8-10km. In Michaelmas and Hilary, this is usually on roads, in Trinity we venture onto grass and trail. If you have a headtorch please bring it: it gets very dark in the winter months!

Wednesday:

13:30 SESSION @ Exeter-Hertford Playing Fields (over the bridge in Uni Parks)

18:30 SESSION @ Iffley Road Track

The lunchtime session is the main session attended by the majority of the club. The daylight and company make for better training! In Trinity, both sessions are at Iffley Track, with the evening session becoming the main session.

Arrive to the session having warmed up (aka jogged), with strides and drills being incorporated into the session.

Thursday:

17:15 CLUB RUN @ Radcliffe Camera

This is an easy run around 5min/km pace which is usually 8-10km. In Michaelmas and Hilary, this is usually on roads, in Trinity we venture onto grass and trail. If you have a headtorch please bring it: it gets very dark in the winter months!

Friday:

Rest day!

Saturday:

10:30 SESSION @ South Park/Exeter-Hertford Playing Fields/Uni Parks.

This session swaps between a grass hills session at South Park or a flat grass session at Exeter-Hertford depending on the training plan.

Sunday:

10:00 LONG RUN @ Radcliffe Camera.

Sunday Long Run is a staple of OUCCC. It’s a 60-100 minute run getting out into the beautiful Oxford countryside. Trail shoes are recommended, waterproof ones recommended if you don’t like soggy feet! It’s a great way to explore, meet new people and acclimatise to the mud and chaos of cross country!

These sessions are open to any and all: please come along and see which ones pick your fancy. There is no commitment required but we hope you get hooked!
